Expert therapists from Penn Medicine | Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Outpatient Therapy, an outpatient service of GSPP Rehabilitation, offer several classes on women’s health topics.
Classes are open to the public, virtual and cost $10 per session.
How to Have a Safe and Active Pregnancy Class
This virtual class provides an interactive session on:
- Exercise, stretching, strengthening and fitness during and after pregnancy
- Moving to avoid injury and warning signs to stop exercise
- Postural changes and their effect on overall well-being
- How to minimize common discomforts during pregnancy
- Proper positioning during feeding
- Proper lifting and carrying techniques

Restore Your Pelvic Floor Class
This virtual class is designed for anyone experiencing:
- Involuntary bladder or bowel leakage
- Leaking with cough, laugh, sneeze, physical activity or position changes
- Heaviness or discomfort in the lower pelvic region
Class works on:
- Coordinated breathing
- Exercises and strategies to support the pelvic floor
- Increasing awareness, movement and strength into everyday life

Navigating the Fourth Trimester: Your Postpartum Body and Health Class
This virtual class, led by a physical therapist specialized in women’s health, helps women with common postpartum pelvic floor problems:
- Leaking pain
- Diastasis recti (abdominal weakness)
- Hip, low back and pelvic pain
- Safe return to physical activity, exercise and sports
