Movement Disorders

A movement disorder is a neurologic condition that affects the voluntary muscles of the body and can cause a person to lose control of their movements.

Depending on the movement disorder you have your symptoms will vary, but the most common symptoms include involuntary muscle jerking, spasms, shaking and balance issues. It’s important to note that not everyone who suffers from a movement disorder will experience the same severity of symptoms, which can be affected by factors such as stress and fatigue.
